Student Teaching

In my opinion I feel the most important part of our education is the actual teaching part we will all encounter at the end of our schooling. So instead of going to classes for as long as we do, would it be more appropriate to spend more time in the classroom student teaching?

I think it is interesting that you say that because you have yet to spend any actual time in the classroom this semester. Not by any fault of your own, of course. As we can all see, some people are just sooooooo busy!

I agree. I feel that I learned more in my C&I 200 teaching experience than all of my other classes combined! There should certainly be more classroom experiences for us...

maralee must know you pretty well. certainly, more student teaching would be beneficial, but so are classes. ok, some are not. i believe more observation is invaluable. i just did my c and i 200 at big sky and i go back into the classroom once/week and touch base with the teacher and students. the level of comfort and familiarity has risen exponentially.
